It amuses me to no end that devils are so classy, honorable, loyal and highly sensual while the “good” ones, (fallen or not, it would seem) angels and priests, are little more than blood-thirsty mentally-unstable psychopaths! I guess High School DxD won’t be the most popular anime in the Vatican, but as far as I’m concerned I’m loving the concept. Being evil is the best, and the more we know our heroes, the more I like them, especially the girls. Rias cares a lot about her underlings while being clearly the dominant one (being dominant doesn’t mean not caring about others; some people seem to be very mistaken and biased regarding this issue!). In fact it’s the fact she cares so much about her underlings that makes her the Queen!! It’s not just High School DxD actually; as far as I know, as I explained the other day, there’s a long tradition linking sensuality to devils, vampires and other evil entities. And you know what? It works!

Then there’s the sadist Akeno who, unlike that priest, has the style and manners to be a great sadist rather than someone unpleasant and nuts, and her loyalty to her ojousama is of course great, reinforcing that feeling of S&M relationship. I’m hoping to get to know Koneko-chan better (and yeah, loli demons FTW!) and even the other male in Rias-sempai’s harem, Akiba, seems to be a really nice guy (but I don’t care who’s the uke and who’s the seme you psycho priest!!).
Well, this time Issei saved Rias! I hope he gets more chances to prove his worth to her!

And while we get character development and entertaining stories, with of course lots of tasty boobs and fanservice in between (although the traitor they had to hunt down wasn’t to my liking, ewwwww!!!!), there’s a new character, little cute nun Asia who is clearly too sweet to be with the church and their exorcists. I’m really waiting for the day she becomes a member of the Gremory family. She may be well Issei’s first underling, although Issei still needs to improve! He needs to be able to fight enemies himself, or he’ll be a disgrace as Rias-sempai’s’ slave!

The chess powers were interesting, and Asia might even become the bishop in the group. I felt that the knight’s power of speed should have been something like short range teleportation instead, because it fits the knight role in a chess game better.

Issei first slave candidate is a sister-san, interesting, loving the chemistry between the two. This show just keeps getting better and better, but I really hated how that wack job exorcist treated that poor sweet sister-san (Asia), I hope that bastard gets what’s coming to him soon.

diosss en esta serie se pasan jaja. Hacía tiempo que no había tanta carne desde yosuga no sora. Por lo que sé, el estudio encargado de esta serie pagó un auténtico pastizal para que no la censuraran, menos mal, porque si no, entre rayas blancas y partes negras no habríamos visto absolutamente nada.
