Boy, this was an awesome episode. Kämpfer manages to always keep me really, really entertained. It has really hot fanservice, it has romantic comedy, it has action and it has the kind of parody that is well-meaning, that doesn’t try to laugh at fans. I’ve been missing this kind of show lately, I hope Kämpfer gets a second season soon.

So the events here are after the end of the series, with the main characters wondering who Sakura Kaede really is. Basically, what we see in the anime happens in the light novels, but they’ve really messed up the timeline and I get confused at times. For example, Mikoto being controlled by Sakura (actually, instead of a tsundere penguin, she used Mikoto’s own toy) didn’t happen in this part, but later when they are visiting Sakura’s parents’ house.
