Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai – Volume 6 (Part 3)

So while Yozora, Rika and Yukimura go find some cool clothes, Kodaka is going to help Sena choose a present for Kobato-chan. Kodaka doesn’t advice giving her anything related to her favorite anime since she either already owns the DVDs or CDs, or isn’t interested in other merchandise such as figures. So what does Kodaka suggest? He’s her oniichan, he must know what Kobato-chan absolutely loves. And do you know what she really, really likes?

“Meat”

“Eh!?” Sena’s eyes are sparkling.

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai – Volume 6 (Part 2)

“YOZORA!! YOU FEMALE PIG!!!” finally (and I mean finally since my last summary was a few months ago) Sena realizes that Yozora’s fortune-telling was totally bogus. Or was it? It’s not like she believed it or anything (no!!!) but as they arrive in the club room…

“Kukuku”

After having to take supplementary classes, Kobato is back.

“WOAAAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA KOBATO-CHWAAAAAAAAAAAAN WHY ARE YOU HERE?!?! YOU’RE AN ANGEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Kirino and Ayase in the foreground?

This is the page for January/February on the Oreimo 2012 calendar I bought. First of all, I just love the expressions of each of the girls showing what their typical reactions would be if they were actually giving Kyousuke chocolate for Valentine’s Day. I especially like Ayase’s expression.

Impressions on “Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii wake ga Nai” volume 9

I was asked to write a review of Ore no Imouto ga Konna Ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai Volume 9 so I’ll outline the contents while giving my impressions.

Some of you may already know, but this was basically some kind of extra volume, since it didn’t really take the plot from where it ended in Volume 8 (as you know, it ended with Kuroneko breaking up with Kyousuke and Kirino warmly comforting him). I think that the fact there’s been an extra volume now is hinting at the series ending some time soon, probably by volume 10 or 11. I see it as a way the author has of both lengthening the series a little and also tying up loose ends, more clearly seen with the part where Saori’s story is told: with it, Saori’s character is complete, since she’s not a love rival.

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai – Volume 6 (Part 1)

“And why was Yozora in your dream from ten years ago?” asks Sena. It turns out that while in his sleep induced by Rika’s “time travel” invention, he actually cried her name.

Kodaka tries to play dumb, saying it was a weird dream after all, nothing to do with reality (Yozora wanted to keep it a secret)…

“It’s natural I was in his dream from ten years ago. Because I’m his osananajimi” surprisingly announces Yozora.

And Yozora drops the bomb. Kodaka realizes, although he can’t interpret why, that Yozora seems to be bragging… well, it’s natural, since that would give her an advantage over all of her rival haremettes here.

Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai – Volume 8 (Part 4)

As could be expected, Kyousuke took a hard blow after Kuroneko decided to break up with him, but he was expecting to solve everything once he met Kuroneko at school the following day, but he couldn’t find her and rushed to her classroom, where Sena told him that Ruri had transferred to another school – In fact, Sena knew about it since before the summer holidays.

Kuroneko didn’t pick up the phone either, and desperate Kyousuke went to her house, which she found completely empty. Feeling empty and tired, he returned home and fell asleep. Once he woke up, he thought about calling his reliable Manami, but he had second thoughts. No, there’s someone better to ask for advice to, and fortunately her door is not locked.

Kyousuke gets a call from Ayase… the second time he visits Ayase’s room. But as she leads him there, he notices a metallic object in her hand, which she’s keeping behind her back. Ayase… a yandere… that’s a knife for sure! She wants to kill him!!

Fortunately, Ayase is holding no knife, only her beloved handcuffs.

“Your hands, please~”

Let me say it once again. In a cute girl’s room, getting handcuffed by her, Kyousuke I hate you, you lucky bastard don’t deserve it!!!

“Hey Kuroneko… no nothing, what are you doing now?”

“Trying to summon the Flames of Purgatory to this world” says Kuroneko on the other side of the phone.

“Oh, you are doing well”

“But did you even understand?”

“Erm maybe…. is it a manga or a novel?”

“A manga”

Behind the school building, that fated afternoon. Kuroneko’s white version, Shironeko, with almost teary eyes, awaits for Kyousuke’s answer, once she confessed her feelings to him. Kyousuke is very confused (I guess that it was an even bigger shock given how dense he is!).

Is there a person he likes? Doesn’t he like her? She keeps asking those questions. Or is he… confused? Of course.

“Well, what a pathetic boy~ so useless”

“Say whatever you want” Lol, I’ve long held the theory that Kyousuke is a big M, he may be enjoying this!

IS: Infinite Stratos – Volume 2 (Part 4)

Ichika really wants to has his revenge against Laura, and in fact Charles and Ichika’s first match is against Laura… and Houki. Worse case scenario for her, and Laura annoys the hell out of her, as Germany-tan basically told Japan-tan not to get in the way and let her defeat the two enemies.

Ichika however is more than ready to fight Laura. Cecilia and Rin didn’t lose to her in vain: they gained valuable information about her Schwarzer Regen, especially about her AIC, a so-called inertia canceler, that renders an IS unable to maneuver. In theory, Ichika’s blade should be able to disable it but the problem is… Ichika’s attacks are too simple, just using his ignition booster and attacking in a straight line.
