Kill Me Baby!

If you haven’t watched it yet, and you feel like watching a light-hearted comedy, I’m totally recommending Kill Me Baby. There’s not much to explain, really. It’s like… there’s this slightly airhead of a girl called Yasuna whose friend and classmate, Sonya, happens to be a professional assassin, there’s this ninja girl who is also in the same organization… nah, It sounds crazy, and it is, and there’s no really more meaning to their profession (?) than that.

Papa no Iu Koto Wo Kikinasai – 02

Since we could all know what was going to happen in this episode just by reading any synopsis of the show, I was expecting not to like this episode given my strong dislike of drama, and how much certain shows like devoting time to drama even if they are comedies just because some people perceive that to be “deep” (whatever that means) but this necessary plot element only took up around 4 minutes and didn’t show the moments that could have been more dramatic (like the girls learning of their parents’ death) so it turned out all fine, and now we’re set for the good stuff.

High School DxD – 02

High School DxD is becoming my favorite anime of the Winter 2012 season!! The fanservice is awesome, Rias-sempai is awesome and we’re going right into the harem route.

Amagami SS+ – 02

Should I feel relieved Amagami didn’t betray its principles and in the end the whole Kurosawa thing didn’t really bring about any drama whatsoever, or maybe a little disappointed there wasn’t a stronger reaction from Ayatsuji-san? I don’t know, we …

First impressions: Papa Kiki, Ano Natsu, Rinne no Lagrange, Moretsu Pirates and ZnT

Although from what I had heard it looked promising, I feared one thing about Papa no Iu Koto Wo Kikinasai (Papa Kiki): if it was a father-daughters relationship, I’m not really into that kind of incest so it would, in the end, leave no room for proper romantic comedy. But it turns out that the “papa” from their title is actually their young uncle, who is like an oniichan to them, so everything is fine. In fact, the oldest sister Sora has feelings for Yuuta, and the first episode even included some healthy fanservice so even my misgivings about it being about a university student (I prefer high school settings, can’t stomach university stuff) can be dismissed. It looks like it’s going to be a really entertaining romantic comedy, with cute girls and lolis, so what else could you ask for? I’m sure that a rivalry is bound to arise between Haruka and kyonyuu weirdo Raika!!

High School DxD – First Impressions

High School DxD seemed promising and indeed episode one didn’t let me down. Apparently there will be harem, but l think that in the end it will always boil down to the awesome Alpha female known as Rias-sempai. She’s one of those remarkable 2D girls, which is to say a lot given the awesomeness of 2D girls in general. To be honest, I’d love to become her servant. She has that ojousama, S, dominant flair… you really want to become her underling and obey all of her commands. All of them, whatever she tells you to do!! Yeah, lots of room for an S&M-type relationship with Rias-sempai s the attractive and erotic dominant demon. The supernatural, in this way, is always highly erotic, and this has a long history way before the birth of anime!

Amagami SS+ – First impressions

It’s always a nice sensation when you re-encounter an anime you liked, especially when it’s a second season. Hearing the background music again, seeing the heroes and heroines again, that’s pretty nice. It may not look like it but it’s been already a year since the first season, although in my case, thanks to the drama CDs which I’ve listened to regularly (I listen to all my Drama CDs in shuffle mode on my iPod), Amagami has been really present.

Random stuff: Gou-dere, Katawa Shoujo and Steins;Gate

Since no animes have aired this week (my first picks airing tomorrow) I think that from time to time it may be interesting to do something like this, and that is just giving brief mentions about different stuff in my “otaku life” (hey, maybe this is even better than just blogging regularly about anime episodes since sometime there’s just nothing interesting to say about an episode).

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai – Volume 6 (Part 3)

So while Yozora, Rika and Yukimura go find some cool clothes, Kodaka is going to help Sena choose a present for Kobato-chan. Kodaka doesn’t advice giving her anything related to her favorite anime since she either already owns the DVDs or CDs, or isn’t interested in other merchandise such as figures. So what does Kodaka suggest? He’s her oniichan, he must know what Kobato-chan absolutely loves. And do you know what she really, really likes?

“Meat”

“Eh!?” Sena’s eyes are sparkling.

New Year’s Anime Countdown – #1 Yuru Yuri

And thus 2011 comes to an end. Anime-wise I think it was good. Perhaps not the best year, but there were still many series I loved. And number one is… yeah , Yuru Yuri. I already wrote a review of it, but I think Yuru Yuri really made my summer. This bright, colorful, yuri comedy was a delight to watch. I said that I placed it above BokuTomo for a reason. Actually two. First, that it really brightened my mood during the summer, I have good memories of it. And second, there’s already a second season underway. More TOSHINOU KYOUKO!!!!
