KissxSis getting more and more awesome (and ero)

Well many people are (I guess literally) excited about chapter 59 of KissxSis since the ecchiness and ero have been upped once again. To a very literal sense. It’s amazing, given the fact the magazine where it’s published doesn’t even allow showing nipples, but well, last chapter has pretty much wincestuous cunnilingus and Riko gets a taste of a certain ermm fluid from her otouto. Not even Yosuga no Sora (in terms of detailed acts!)

Rinne No Lagrange ends… and season 2 announced!

Awesome, sweet-and-sour ending to Rinne No Lagrange. In fact, this way of ending the episode was really well-crafted to make you feel both a little sad, both a little happy everything turned out OK, and also a little nostalgic, only to go OH YEAH SECOND SEASON COMING SOON at the end. Rinne No Lagrange has been my favorite anime of the season. I love animes about friendship, especially among girls (and yeah, especially if some yuri is implied!), and Rinne No Lagrange managed to have action, bad guys (although their motivations aren’t that clearly bad, so let’s call them just antagonists) and good guys, and friendship and comedy and cute girls and everything in between.

High School DxD – 12

Well, well, well, that’s what I call an epic ending. Even if the novels continue, this clearly wraps things up with heroism, epic moments and even romance, giving Issei his moment of glory and making Rias totally fall for her cute underling.

We also meet Lucifer, Rias’ oniisama who seems to have taken an interest in Issei, no wonder since Issei seems to have a legendary dragon inside him, the Welsh Dragon, and he can become a powerful asset for the Gremory clan. So powerful he welcomes with open arms the cancellation of the marriage that would have brought the two powerful families together, and by consequence, even if tacitly, he seems to approve of a relationship between Rias and Issei, which is awesome!

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai – Volume 7 (Part 5)

Before the cultural festival, they have the sports festival, and the seitokaichou, a pretty, ojousama-looking girl as Kodaka remarks, gives a speech. Afterwards, Kodaka spots Yozora who isn’t feeling too well. She decided to attend the festival “on a whim” since she typically dislikes such events, but seeing the seitokaichou, Hidaka Hyuuga, has made her very angry.

“You don’t get along with her?” asks Kodaka.

“I have never even spoken to her, but I hate her. She’s so popular, and good at sports, and helps everyone around her. She’s admired by everyone in the school”

“That means she’s a really good person? I mean, almost a saint!”

“Exactly. A true riajuu”

Winter 2012 Highlights

Well the winter season is almost over, with one episode left for most shows, so I wanna share a few thoughts about it. All in all it’s been a decent one. I’ve followed 11 shows, which must be a little above my average, and although I did really like many of the shows, I feel I’ve seen stronger seasons. Apart from the ecchi anime draught in recent seasons, perhaps what I have missed the most is pure romantic comedy shows (such as Mayo Chiki, Hidan No Aria or MM, to mention a few), but we had a very decent romance anime instead, Ano Natsu, and these are also hard to come by. Also many comedies, which is always welcome, such as Kill Me Baby, Danshi Koukousei and Milky Holmes.

So let’s see my top 3, the revelations (the animes that I had overlooked or which turned out to be better than I expected) and, unfortunately, also the flops (not necessarily animes I didn’t like, but rather from which I expected more, or something different).

If you feel like dropping Rinne no Lagrange today, try reading a certain New York Times article

I (kinda) read this link I just saw on twitter.

This is it people. This is that rot, this is why I think when anime hits the Western mainstream it starts stinking, a foul smell like a soup of rotten rat and urban detritus, all finely mixed up and left for weeks in a swamp under the humid, hot sun in the jungle of some country in South-Eastern Asia. Anime under these circumstances decomposes, like fecal matter. It loses its actual shape, it becomes mere filth, probably rich in lethal virus, it becomes something absolute different to its usual shape, the one we know, its original form, as if subjected to high levels of ionizing radiation for a long time.

High School DxD – 11

They are really making it easy to hate the hell out of Raizer… but you know what, no matter what happens next episode (I’m sure they will do something about it, it’s impossible Rias will marry to that bastard), Raizer doesn’t seem to realize that the very moment the proud Rias resigned in tears to save Issei he had actually lost. Because it’s clear who she loves, and that’s not precisely that immortal bastard. Issei calls himself stupid, well he’s perhaps not the brightest tool in the shed, but this pathetic Raizer guy, smiling so sure of his victory, is far dumber, completely unaware he can’t possibly win Rias’ heart in fair combat.

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai – Volume 7 (Part 4)

After the whole revelation about Sena and him being engaged, Kodaka happens to meet Kate, who tells him about Pegasus telling everyone about their engagement. Kate sighs relief when Kodaka tells her it’s all a misunderstanding. We all know well that Kate is also after Kodaka, but she seems to have so far thought Sena had the upper hand! Kodaka, damn you stop triggering flags already!! Who next? Aoi, that girl who has a one-sided rivalry with Sena? Well, let’s hope so!

Oreimo volume 10 next month!

Well, looks like Oreimo volume 10 is coming out next month (http://dengekibunko.dengeki.com/new/index.php#top1). The preview picture seems to be the one from last time, but I suppose the actual cover will be different. But the extract sounds really juicy.
