And of course, seeing all the girls naked as they are defeated is great, but what made me go MOEEEEEE the most was Koneko-chan’s reaction. There’s something about girls like Koneko, Yami or Mahoro (who coined the “ecchi na no wa ikenai to omoimasu” phrase) who react that way to the perviness of the main character that makes their moe level go up. Pricesless as well was the flashback of how he trained with Asia to develop this ability, Asia so innocently supporting him while he destroyed her dresses!

And if you haven’t watched the show (it’s a 3-episode OVA), I recommend this series, especially if you like cute girls who wear lots of different costumes and a slightly tsundere-ish, “ecchi is bad!” heroine, who also happens to be a maid robot!

And as I already said before, I’m finding the whole alien thing totally unnecessary, it doesn’t kinda fit in an otherwise decent romance story.

As you will remember, the main characters were Kuuya (played by Yozora, and Yozora’s alter ego) and Hirotaka (played by Kodaka, and Kodaka’s alter ego), but now they voted that Kuuya will be played by Yukimura (Yukimura becomes Yozora, so to speak) and Hirotaka will be played by Yozora (Yozora becomes Kodaka so to speak), while Kodaka will play Mari, Kuuya’s imouto, now reborn as Kotarou, Kuuya’s otouto.
“What the hell is this?” bitterly asks Sena. Comparing the very first scene before and after, Kodaka realizes that Yozora has changed the whole script.

Tags: boku wa tomodachi ga sukunai, haganai, Light novel, summary, volume 7With the 2012 Winter season in its last month, I’d like to briefly comment on each of the animes I’m watching –and enjoying! I don’t think I’ve been disappointed by any anime I started this season, which is a good sign. Notice this is not a ranking, I’m not too comfortable with rankings and very often the latest episode so watched or what moved you the most will just affect the ranking, so it’s better to just comment on my overall impressions.
All in all, it’s a reasonably good season. I’m watching a lot of series, there are many comedies –which I really like-, some romance too, ecchi too, and the only genre I might miss is some classic romantic comedy.

I find it captures all the awesomeness of TWGOK to perfection: the girls’ stories are credible, complex and yet 2D-ish enough to be genuine Keima material, and the God of Conquest himself is simply epic (as usual). His logic, analysis, but also his random over the top otaku antics are always a joy to watch. Fortunately enough, the novels have been translated into English so there’s no need for me to write summaries this time around! However I would like to comment on the aspects I liked best, so beware of a few spoilers ahead!

Tags: galge, kami nomi zo shiru sekai, Light novel, the world god only knows, TWGOKEarlier I was having a conversation on Twitter about Kill Me Baby and the remarkable voice acting. I especially like Yasuna and Agiri’s voices (just try listening to Agiri’s Character CD, not because of the music, but the tone of her voice). I really hope their seiyuus, Akasaki Chinatsu and Takabe Ai respectively, get more roles!
So this conversation reminded me of other shows like Nekogami Yaoyorozu and Kanamemo. What do these three anime have in common, apart from being comedies? That I truly believe they have been unfairly underrated. Now, of course some people don’t like comedy too much, others like one type of comedy and not another, but still with some exceptions (such as Nichijou, and let’s not deceive ourselves. Nichijou is remarkably good, but if Kyoani hadn’t be behind it, it might have shared the same fate as other comedies) most comedy or slice-of-life comedy animes are ignored at large. I mean, Kill Me Baby, Kanamemo or Nekogami are really good, better than the attention they have received might indicate. To the point of being masterpieces? Maybe not? However as far as I’m concerned words such as “masterpiece” or “work of art” are just little annoying pompous words and what matters the most is, or should be, the entertainment value, how it makes you feel.

Tags: anime, comedy, kanamemo, kill me baby, nekogami yaoyorozu, nichijouNice episode. When I say High School DxD is my kind of thing, this is what I mean. Interesting but not annoying/pretentious plot, a succession of more serious episodes and light-hearted episodes, interesting (and totally hot) girls and romance.
So Koneko-chan (hell, I love these “I hate shameless people” girls!) pretty much made Issei understand where his true inner strength is: his perviness. Focus, imagine pervy things, and your powers will grow (apart from other things)! Coupled with his resolve not to be the underdog and protect everyone after pretty much confessing to Rias-sempai, and we are set for the finale.
