Kirino’s novel is going to get an anime, but the world of business is harsh and there are many changes they want to make that would turn it into something Kirino didn’t intend it to be. And Kyousuke, with the help of Kuroneko and Saori, decides to meet the anime staff and make them change their minds. And why is he doing so much for his sister, when he hates her? He doesn’t really understand, but… aren’t they siblings after all?

Aoyagi Kanna is a normal, innocent sixteen-year-old girl… whose big sister, Yayoi, asks her to work as an eroge seiyuu in her company. Nana to Kaoru OVA announced

Volume 6 of the Nana to Kaoru manga will include an OVA. For those who don’t know about Nana to Kaoru, it’s a (pretty perverted) manga about a boy called Kaoru, who has a bondage fetish, and his osananajimi Nana who starts asking him to practice SM with her as a way of blowing off steam. Although it’s a word that, as you know, I don’t like using, Nana to Kaoru is remarkable for offering a pretty realistic portrayal of bondage. It explores why Nana feels such a thrill when she feels powerless and how much she trusts Kaoru, and it also explores lots of play and situations and bondage toys. Of course, not perverted people will probably get scared!

Being a “Kirino” in your country

In the few first episodes, Oreimo deals a lot with being an otaku and the social problems that it may result in. I admit that half of what I’m going to say in the following post is highly speculative, so I want many comments and I don’t mind being corrected at all.

First of all, I’m not going to talk about “anime” in general but about a particular type of anime. I don’t mean to be exclusive but I mean otaku anime (I know the word is imprecise, give me a break on that one) , the type of seasonal anime like what I blog here. That is, anime and manga has become increasingly popular outside Japan, but it’s usually, and I don’t mean it in a negative way, shounen, shoujo or more “classic” anime. What I want to talk about today is not if you can find someone on the train reading Naruto, Bleach or Nana, but if, where you live, it is possible to find someone, who, for example, has heard of Oreimo, K-ON, or Toradora.
