High School DxD – 03
It amuses me to no end that devils are so classy, honorable, loyal and highly sensual while the “good” ones, (fallen or not, it would seem) angels and priests, are little more than blood-thirsty mentally-unstable psychopaths! I guess High School DxD won’t be the most popular anime in the Vatican, but as far as I’m concerned I’m loving the concept. Being evil is the best, and the more we know our heroes, the more I like them, especially the girls. Rias cares a lot about her underlings while being clearly the dominant one (being dominant doesn’t mean not caring about others; some people seem to be very mistaken and biased regarding this issue!). In fact it’s the fact she cares so much about her underlings that makes her the Queen!! It’s not just High School DxD actually; as far as I know, as I explained the other day, there’s a long tradition linking sensuality to devils, vampires and other evil entities. And you know what? It works!

High School DxD is becoming my favorite anime of the Winter 2012 season!! The fanservice is awesome, Rias-sempai is awesome and we’re going right into the harem route.

High School DxD seemed promising and indeed episode one didn’t let me down. Apparently there will be harem, but l think that in the end it will always boil down to the awesome Alpha female known as Rias-sempai. She’s one of those remarkable 2D girls, which is to say a lot given the awesomeness of 2D girls in general. To be honest, I’d love to become her servant. She has that ojousama, S, dominant flair… you really want to become her underling and obey all of her commands. All of them, whatever she tells you to do!! Yeah, lots of room for an S&M-type relationship with Rias-sempai s the attractive and erotic dominant demon. The supernatural, in this way, is always highly erotic, and this has a long history way before the birth of anime!

Anyway, this is not the “best” season to review Asobi Ni Iku Yo! because Asoiku (by AIC, Oreimo, BokuTomo, Amagami and a long etc.) is one of the most summer-like animes I’ve ever seen. It’s not only because it’s set in Okinawa, so everything about it has a tropical, beach flair but also the story itself is really summer-like. Asoiku pays homage to many genres that I tend to associate with summer. For example, at the start of the anime Futaba Aoi is carrying out a mission and when changing from one scene to another, a credits screen is briefly shown in between scenes, just the way many action movies start.

Honestly, I’ve been waiting to see this scene for over a year. Yozora stepping on Sena, Sena actually feeling good but, embarrassed, jumping to her feet just in time to flash her Nikus to Kodaka and company. Yozora x Sena (SM relationship, of course) is a world full of awesome possibilities. Hoping a few doujinshi next Comiket will explore them!

I think that an episode that starts with hot, albeit hilarious, yuri undertones is bound to be good—as for the yuri, just a way for Sera to survive, but she seems to be keen on sucking girls’ blood: I approve. And indeed, the episode was pretty good and satisfactory, with good humor and nice action without drama, which I prefer over something like last episode.

A fated night when two perverts bump into each other. Some stories are truly beautiful. But the question remains, is Shuusuke a lucky bastard, or a poor unlucky guy? I cannot find an easy answer. Today, he got a new haremette, although it’s more like the haremette, Kondou Mayuka, made him her pet. And is that being unlucky or lucky? I guess, and I’m with Shuusuke on this one, that it depends on your fetishes. Of course, he imagined it involved some kind of SM play, being made to lick her foot while she was wearing that awesome pantyhose, and well, Shuusuke pal, that would have been awesome. Unfortunately, it was a little different, but in a way the result is the same, with Kondou joining the club to which Iroha and Nao already belong.

Completely willingly, Shuusuke goes to the beach with Nao on a hot summer day. By chance, they meet Nao’s friends and completely by chance, no NSA spy satellites involved, Iroha happens to be there. As the girls start competing (it’s not harem, it’s hell!!) Nao accidentally on purpose knocks Shuusuke who, almost dying, has fantasies about Chizuru-chan, a game character. Fortunately, as Nao and Iroha fight, Shuusuke’s very own prince charming saves his life.

While Ayumu goes on a date with his (male) friend Orito, the girls fight over a pudding, leading to some sexy scenes. Afterwards, they meet Ayumu in a bowling alley, so Orito learns that his friend is living with three hot girls. Later, however, things get a bit more serious when they visit a friend of Orito, Kyouko, who was attacked by the serial murderer. More disturbing, Ayumu learns that the person who attacked her could be Yuu.

A ninja vampire (or vampire ninja?) wants to defeat a mahou shoujo immortal zombie so she can become the sole slave of a necromancer. And the zombie wins by hitting her with his arm that she cut. Oh, and I forgot to mention the mahou shoujo immortal zombie has a harem, including a mahou (masou?) shoujo tsundere loli. And he’s a siscon pervert.
