I think that by now it’s pretty obvious that the members of the Neighbors’ Club are weirdos, so I think it’s no surprising to find a horse-monster wearing a striped full body swimsuit at the club’s door. And if you wonder, it’s not a minion of Kobato sent to fight the church’s servants, but rather Yozora… since Rika and her bought swimsuits (yes, what Yozora is wearing is apparently a swimsuit) but didn’t get to wear them at the pool, they are going to wear them today. But Yozora is too shy to be seen in a… full body swimsuit, so she’s wearing a horse costume because she feels more at ease.

One disadvantage of Gothic lolita fashion has to be how hot it can get, especially in the summer (Kuroneko must know this well, even ifs he claims her clothes feel cool in the middle of summer Comiket). The same must apply to our extremely adorable imouto Kobato, now that their air conditioning broke down and they will come to install the new one in a few days.

“Three days?!?!?!” says Kobato before remembering that she’s an ancient vampire… “Kukuku, you humans are useless. Fortunately, my body could endure flames of several thousand degrees”

Summer! If I think about summer, for some reason the first thing that springs to my mind is Toradora, with Takasu, Kitamura, Ami, Taiga and Minorin in Ami’s holiday house.

But… what about those fellows who have no friends? What do they do in the summer? Well, pretty much nothing, and somehow it reminds me of my own life. But it could be worse, since our heroes have the Neighbor’s Club at least, which is having club activities throughout the summer… even if club activities means basically shooting the breeze and disturbing poor Maria-sensei’s sleep. As Kodaka leaves home, Kobato realizes that it’s too hot outside and, given the fact that she’s a vampire who hates the light, she decides to stay at home, with very nice 21st century air conditioning.
